The day has arrived! Our travel into Bogota went off mostly without a hitch. We found a very loving and supportive group of people in the FANA staff, our drivers, El Refugio staff, and other adoptive families staying here at El Refugio. We know we are in the right place! After a near sleepless night, we arrived at FANA for the big day. We were anxious and nervous, but so excited to meet our little boy. Emanuel was ushered into the Green Room with a host of FANA staff who obviously love him dearly. He was tentative at first, as can be expected, as our Skype sessions could only go so far to introduce us to him. With some old hits performed by us from the Harris Variety Show Act Vol I - V, he gradually warmed to us. As the day went on, he started to relax around us more, and we were able to coax a few beautiful smiles out of him. He is an energetic boy; walking, kicking balls, batting balloons. He also loves his stackable balls (thanks Steph & Chris) and eats like a champ. Mama and Papa feel so lucky to have this beautiful son. It's been a long and glorious day. We hope that the whole family can muster more than a few hours of sleep tonight. We are so thrilled to be his family and can't wait for his little personality to unfold further.
We were unable to get a family picture at the presentation. Hopefully we'll capture one soon.
All for now,
Leah, Jeff & Emanuel

Emanuel couldn't be more adorable!!! We hope you are able to get some sleep although I'm sure it's hard to take your gaze off of your precious son!
