Tabio Day Trip

Our first big adventure as a family was to Tabio, a town outside of Bogota.  Our gracious host, Carmen and FANA driver extraordinaire, Maria Teresa de Perez, the Grabers and Krull's (the other US families at El Refugio) spent a beautiful day having lunch in the country and shopping Tabio's main plaza.  Emanuel is becoming very curious about everything, especially trees, flowers, shrubs, and animals.  He is making his needs more known by directing mama and papa where to take him.  Jeff and I are quickly learning to watch his little hands as they are quick to explore things best left untouched unless mama and papa want to part with their pesos.  The drive back to El Refugio was our first big challenge managing an overtired child.  However we are surviving and will undoubtedly sleep well tonight.

    We can hardly wait to meet our grandnephew. Emanuel is so gorgeous and his Harris spunk is shown in these pictures. Leah and Jeff, we are thrilled for you! Enjoy your days in warm Columbia...your Minnesota return is eagerly awaited.
